I remember that BYU was upset that they had to play A&M thought that they deserved to play someone better that's why A&M ran up the score on the Cougars. Detmer separated his shoulder during the game and continue to play until he got his and separated his second shoulder. It was a horrible game to watch and one I would never want to see again.
