Are you saying that an incoming B12 commissioner was not brought fully up to speed on the single most important issue facing the conference, an issue that threatened the league's very existence?
I knew the B12 was badly mismanaged, but for them to hide and cover up the true facts on expansion talks from an incoming commissioner when the very life of the conference is at stake really takes the cake for gross incompetence.
There was never anything that rose to the level of "talks". There was only "talk", ie.: things never progressed beyond the most preliminary of stages. "Hello, BYU? We looking into expanding. Would you be interested in exploring possibilities? You would? Great, we'll get back to you." And they never did.
Face it. At first glance BYU makes a poor fit for the B12.

•No history as a P5.
•A reputation (deserved or not) of being difficult to work with.
Why is it so hard for some people to accept the fact that they chose to check out other less problematic choices first, and because they were satisfied with what they found, they never got back to BYU?
