Guys like Reno Mahe perpetuate the idea that BYU can help troubled

youths. What was his recent quote? Something like, "I needed BYU more than BYU needed me."

Quotes like that are why CB thinks BYU could help West. KVN'S story also comes to mind, as well as others. None of this is a guarantee that coming to BYU will solve Charles West's problems, but it does give reason to hope that it could help.
