I am saying this as I have just spent 3 weeks in London. My associate rented
a car. Driving was so inconvenient that it ended up sitting in a parking garage at $50 pounds a day for 3 weeks. We used the tube 90% of the time and Uber the other 10%. This was a much more efficient and cost effective way to see the city.

Also, a few years ago we did a 3 week road trip from Zurich to Florence to Paris and back to Zurich. We spent 5 days in Paris and our car sat in a garage on the outskirts of town all 5 days. Rode the subway the entire time. Was very convenient.
