Here's how I feel about surveillance: the minute you leave your private property
you implicitly forfeit your right to privacy. Why is there an expectation of privacy when walking around in public? Surveillance in bathrooms, hotel rooms, private dwellings, etc., where privacy is implied is another matter entirely. Surveillance of public and open-air spaces, though? I'm all for it if it's economical and leads to better enforcement.
