I see Y fans like yourself pushing for relegation believing it would put your team in the upper echelons of the P5 apparatus and shed purported dead weight of other teams you feel inferior to BYU.

When in reality, BYU would in all likelihood be among the programs who do not win enough to attain or sustain being on the P5 level.

That conclusion is supported by BYU's precariously lean portfolio of beating P5 programs -- particularly those in the upper half and especially those who finish the season ranked.

And that doesnt even take into account the mid level and lower level P5s that BYU may very well lose to.

Relegation is not BYU's friend, so most Y fans should be very grateful that idea wont gain any traction.
