Seems to be some inconsistencies if he went to BYU or not.

He went there:

I made mistakes at BYU. I was blessed to be around a coach that cared enough to help me but I wasn't perfect. Today, as I look at my life I am so grateful for my experience at BYU.

I am speaking from experience as a former D1 player Sunday was a day off. I didn't play at BYU and I have many friends around the country that also played at other schools.
