not necessarily very well, though--you need to learn the Python constructs
If you try to write Python from a Java-perspective, for example, you'll end up with bloated code that doesn't perform very efficiently (i.e. getters and setters don't work well, XML should be avoided, etc.). Python is great when used like Python should be used. So, yeah, it's easy to write basic Python code when coming from other languages, but not good and effective Python code.
