We were actually beating USC 3-0 with 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter... they
then scored 21 points in less than 3 minutes to end the first half. Ouch.
Much worse was getting obliterated by Stanford... who ended up going 3-8. To add salt in the wound, the game was played in an empty stadium, and broadcast on CSTV, who we had just learned was the new TV partner of the MWC, and it was the worst telecast I had ever seen.
