That's pretty close to what I would have said before I started thinking about it
Although I think Max has to be above Beck. Beck was a better QB in 2006 than Max ever was, but Max had a better overall career, IMO. But starting to really think about it, I realized a couple of things:

1) Beck's career record as a starter was 22-16. He had one incredible season and two seasons where he was good but the team wasn't really. And considering how much harder our 2015 schedule is than our 2006 schedule was, I think 10-3 will be much more impressive than 11-2 was that year.

2) Sarkisian had one solid season (although it was the first time BYU missed a bowl in about 20 years, and the WAC wasn't good that year) and one great season. The WAC was good enough in 1996 that 14-1 that year was better than 11-2 in 2006, and most likely better than 10-3 this season would be. But Sarkisian wasn't the whole team the way that Taysom is, either.

I guess my point is that it would be really hard to disentangle Beck, Sark, and Taysom if we go 10-3 this season.
