nasty difficult due to the miles involved in travel?

"...Holmoe dropped a hint that the 2017 schedule is going to look nasty difficult. At the Coaches Circle dinner, Bronco said, "If you think the 2015 road schedule looks tough, just wait til you see 2016." And then Holmoe chipped in, "And then wait until you see 2017!"

I do not think these comments have any connection to the Big12. I say this based on conferences generally do not set their conference game schedules more than a year out and often they are announced in the early summer months. Therefore, we can eliminate speculation the comments referenced the Big12. (But keep in mind, expansion will eliminate probably 75% of the scheduled games if and when it occurs.)

Okay, so here is BYU's current unofficial schedule for 2017:

It is possible, and I am only speculating that BYU could announce a travel game for 2017 outside of the United States? That would indeed make it a nasty travel year...When comparing this season and next season's travel games, I do think currently 2017 is less daunting in regards to SOS? So what would make it become "nasty difficult?" IMO: traveling south, east two weeks in a row, west twice, to Hawaii, and to say Mexico/Ireland/Australia...

Texas wants to play a game in Mexico - what better fit than BYU as an opponent in Mexico City? Play Boston College in Ireland?

I guess we will have to wait and see...
