There are some major benefits to it. The peeps on the North Endzone are WAY nicer than the West side. West side, while there were some nice people and families, it was mixed in with crabby middle age to older men who took everything way to serious and were annoying to be around. They were sponging tickets off an out of town uncle who was a CC member, but acted like the owned the place. Lots of dudes just like that, all over the west side. Old... annoying. That is mixed with people who see their tickets as an investment so they buy them and stub hub them every year... so you have visiting fans all mixed in... There is MUCH less of that on the North side.
North side was lots of families and other than the Utah State game, all BYU fans.
So for atmosphere, the North is a lot more fun.

As for viewing the game... You can see holes open up, lanes... everything. It takes some adjustment and is certainly different... but really gives a new perspective on what is happening. The KR for a TD... I could see the lane open up and see what our players were seeing.
It really is fun. When the game is going on at the other endzone, it is not as great... but you can still see it fine.
The major drawback is that it can be very hard to tell yardage. The perspective is totally wrong to accurately judge that.

We moved because I buy a block of 8+ tickets so I can take the whole family. North Endzone allowed us to be MUCH closer as a group. Now that we have one season under our belts, I think we will stick there for the foreseeable future. To give some back ground I have had my seats All over the West Side for years. Two years ago we were front Row on the West side. We have been upper section and lower... With a family, we really like the vibe in the North Endzone much better than we ever did on the West side.
