Speaking as a victim of a home burglary one year ago tomorrow...
I highly commend your vigilance...

My home was broken into a year ago tomorrow and was completely and thoroughly ransacked. It was very apparent they took their time and took everything from the only gun my dad ever bought me, my Book of Mormon given to me at 8 yrs old, my wife's garments and our most prized possession our hard drive video camera with 5 years of kids footage on it that we never uploaded to our computer.

Then of course we had all the usual stuff taken. Laptops, all of my wife's jewelry including thousands of dollars worth of tiffanys jewelry, a jackpot of painkillers from 4 C sections, all my guns, all my watches etc etc etc....

Not as bad as losing a loved one but definitely a tragic and painful experience that still lingers.

My neighbor watched the man and woman at work... She even talked to them as they strolled past my home at 8:00am on Sunday August 3rd 2014. It was in broad daylight so my neighbor thought the couple belonged at my home. Had she took down a license plate number it would have likely been a much different outcome.
