They're probably only the 7th best team on our schedule this year which is why
nobody is talking about them. That's speaking more to the strength of our schedule than it is about the quality of Cincinnati.

When looking at Cincinnati, their passing game should be very good again this next year. They return Kiel as well as their top 6 receivers from a year ago. I expect that they'll be able to put up points and have one of the better offenses in nation. However, their defense is an entirely different story. Last year they gave up 27 ppg. They lose 4 of their top 5 players on the DL, and their top 2 LBs from a year ago as well. That means they only have 2 returning starters in their front 7. Their defensive backfield rated #91 in the country last year. They do return 3 starters there and should be improved, but it's still a big question mark as to how much. The takeaway from this is that they might put up a lot of points, but they will likely give up a lot of points as well - especially against teams that are able to expose their inexperience in their front 7. I expect that BYU will win this game, but it will likely be a game with a score of something like 56-42 and should be a very high scoring affair.
