Also several of those schools beat conference mates particularly in the BEast...
Before the AAC then was demoted...if you put almost any team in a BCS or P5 conference they will eventually win some games against other teams in their conference...so some of those (UConn, Cincy, USF) are odd to include...

Then this comment
Army, Navy and Air Force are national programs and thus narrowing their appeal to the state that houses their campuses seemed to simplify their respective overall television appeal. In case you are wondering, Boise, Idaho is ranked #112.
While only listing BYU as SLC only...

Then consider they provide the averages which for many are less than half of their games. All teams not in a P5 conference end up playing games against lowly teams that will drag ratings down. So for a lot of these teams if you only have your 3-4 OOC games against larger foes televised this number would be inflated for you. But if you had 70+% of your games televised including some against the lesser teams your percent of viewers certainly would suffer.

#40 UCF - 1.6 million viewers avg. (6 games)
#55 Boise State - 1.189 million viewers avg. (7 games)
#56 San Diego State - 1.134 million viewers avg. (4 games)
#57 BYU - 1.129 million viewers avg. (9 games)
#61 UConn - 1.013 million viewers avg. (4 games)
#62 Navy - 0.990 million viewers avg. (5 games)
#66 Fresno State - 0.849 million viewers avg. (7 games)
#68 Air Force - 0.843 million viewers avg. (5 games)
#70 USF - 0.743 million viewers avg. (6 games)
#80 Cincinnati - 0.531 million viewers avg. (8 games)
#84 Houston - 0.371 million viewers avg. (8 games)

Interesting that BYU's lowest attended game of 57,141 is still more than 17k more than the high of any other team on his list.

Only BYU, BSU & SDSU have not posted at least one losing record over the last 5 years.

So I decided to take a lot of what this person posted and rank each one. I avoided the chaos and extra math of the TV markets as I didn't want to go through that effort and they don't count what BYU would be valued at anyway yet call out the academies as being national teams as if BYU is not. I broke a couple things out extra and I'll explain.
Attendance = ranked with highest average attendance as #1

Recruits = took the by state rank they shared and if there were two teams from that state you both got the same rank (#1 for UCF/USF for example) but then California at #2 required SDSU/Fresno to share 3, etc - both can't be #2 as there was a tie for #1...

Avg TV Rate = ranked based on his info used

# games TV = the rank of the number of games that team played on TV that year which partially plays into "fan base" or "interest nationally"

P5's beaten = ranked highest to lowest

Win % = Ranked based purely on their winning percentage over the last 5 years

Losing Seasons = ranked highest to lowest based on winning seasons or not (i.e. BYU, BSU & SDSU each were #1 for not having a losing season)

Total = the total points for all rankings.

Avg = the average value received based on number of categories ranked in - if they are N/R then the denominator is reduced...

School Attendance Recruits Avg TV Rate	# games TV	P5's beaten	Win %	Losing Seasons	Total	Avg
BYU 1 9 4 1 1 4 1 21 3.00
UCF 4 1 1 6 9 2 4 27 3.86
BSU 6 13 2 4 4 1 1 31 4.43
UC 12 5 10 2 3 3 4 39 5.57
SDSU 5 3 3 10 14 4 1 40 5.71
ECU 2 6 N/R N/R 6 9 8 31 6.20
Fresno St 10 3 7 4 5 8 8 45 6.43
USF 3 1 9 6 7 12 11 49 7.00
Navy 9 7 6 8 8 7 4 49 7.00
UH N/R N/R 11 2 10 6 8 37 7.40
UConn 8 12 5 10 2 11 11 59 8.43
AF 7 11 8 N/R 11 10 4 51 8.50
Army 11 10 N/R 8 12 14 11 66 11.00
Memphis 13 8 N/R N/R 13 13 11 58 11.60

His estimations are not that far off on #1 & #2 if broken down this way - Except the order is 1) BYU 2) UCF 3) BSU 4) Cincy
