If your goal with this line of questions is to point out some logical
incongruity with my thoughts on the Sabbath, please know that I am shaking my head at your simpleton approach. There is nothing magical about the stroke of midnight, just like there isn't a pre-defined number of steps we can take on the Sabbath or that we don't argue about the minutia of what parts of turning on your oven represent labors that violate the Sabbath.

If we regularly scheduled events that spilled over into the wee hours of Sunday impacting peoples ability to honor the Sabbath, then I would feel we should try to schedule things better to avoid it. If once every decade there is a freak quadruple overtime/extra innings/penalty kicks game that goes past midnight, then who cares? Cuz I doubt the Lord would.
