He's a walk-on from Coppell, TX who played TE in HS and is making the transition to OLB. He got here earlier this summer and had the opportunity to work out with Penny and has been able to understand the scheme very well. On top of that, he's put up great numbers in the summer work outs and has the physical tools to contend for PT this year.

He's kind of flown under the radar because Charles was the major pick up from the school, but Scott had a bunch of P5 schools that were talking to him and had offers from Purdue and NM.

While I wouldn't classify it as "breaking news" like the Hard Knocks style-show (or Blue Runs Deep as I call it). It is exciting news and is something that BYU fans should look forward to this fall as he makes a name for himself in camp.

If anything, his breaking news is that he is a freak athlete who could step up as a play maker for the team.
