Larry Correia has some fun ones, but with a bit of language
If you want LDS thriller, try "Undercover Saint" doesn't read like LDS fiction
Also enjoyed the Miles Vorkosigan books by Bujold and "A Prisoner of Birth" by Archer (modern day Count of Monte Cristo novel)
