As part of my grad school program at USU (a program not offered at BYU), I went to up the USU Campus in Logan for the orientation and kick-off for the program.
This was a couple of years ago, and I wasn't aware of the vitriol and hate and jealousy that the Aggie fans had against BYU.
I never disliked USU at this point. I felt they were BYU's little brother, in a positive way. I rooted for them as long as it wasn't against BYU.
However, once I disclosed my Cougar fandom to some of my fellow students, I saw the kindness fall from their faces. I could see the hate for BYU building up in one particular student. He despised BYU with all his heart - and he wasn't alone.
During the orientation, they had us move from room to room and I used a few computers.
On each computer I used, the last thing I did before logging off, was to change the USU background on the desktop to a BYU Football background. It was beautiful.
It was my little gift to the USU Campus.
