For some reason I've believed all summer he would not be eligible this season because he is transferring from Iowa - normally a transfer sits out a year. But thanks to a heads up by cougarstolz, I have found out this won't be the case with Rudock, who had a waiver granted by the BIG 10 - how one gets this waiver I don't know, but he did, and he seems twice as good as Shane Morris.
He's known for efficient, short passing within a pro-style offense. He only had 5 INTs on 345 attempts last year (BIG 10 fewest). That is great news for UM who suffered a miserable avg. turnover margin of - 1.3 last year, 124th worst in CFB (you thought BYU was bad, ranked 89th, BYU's avg was .02, think of tallying on an extra turnover per game than what we had, and that was not quite, but almost as bad as Michigan was).
Anyway, UM fans are probably cautiously optimistic about QB play this season. Rudock being waived combined with Harbaugh magic may make Michigan our second toughest opponent, possibly toughest if things go right for them - going to be interesting to watch.
