1. This is true, it has been way to long. In Nebraska's defense they have been in a conference with a conference title game that whole time, so they didn't have the opportunity to share titles. They have been to the Conference Title game 5 times. Nebraska's problem isn't that they have been bad (at least since Cally) it's that they haven't been able to get over that hump.

3. What are you talking about? Bo's defense's have not been "nasty" since 2010. Nebraska's run defense was straight garbage under Pelini . He was fired because he couldn't field a good defense that would get pounded whenever the played a good team. Who cares about the 9 wins, he wasn't fired because he won 9 games. A year, he was fired because Nebraska would blown out.

4. I don't know how you can say that. 2009 was also about the time Pregon went from good to great. Oregon St is not Nebraska. He has always been coaching without a full deck of cards. He won't have that problem at Nebraska.

The best part about Mike Riley is he has an experienced staff. Nebraska hasn't lacked talent. That hasn't been a problem since Solich. It was coaching under Bo that was lacking. Nebraska defensive coordinator was GA like 4 years before being moved up. Nebraska's coaches were not ppat the level that they should have been. Your assessment really has blue colored glasses on them. Nebraska's problem under BO was the run defense and turnovers which led to meltdowns.
