We built out here just over a year ago. The problem with all of these builders
that you mention is that you will get killed on upgrades (and almost everything is an upgrade). We looked at Richmond, MacArther and Edge and found we got way less home than we thought we were going to get for that price range. We ended up paying $325,000 for ours (now appraised for over $400,000). We would have been 10-15% more expensive going with any of these builders over the builder we ended up using.

If you are open to Eagle Mountain, there is a cool new subdivision on 1/2 acre lots on the North side of I-73 on the side of the mountain. If getting the most house for your money is important to you and you are willing to put up with a little disorganization from the builder, I would recommend my builder. I'll send it to you via boardmail. I'll also send you the name of the other builder we were looking at. I guarantee with our builder, you will get more home for the money, but it does take some patience dealing with him. You will be 5-6 months for completion as opposed to 3-4 months with the other builders you are talking about.
