In over 2 years I can't find anything I'd call Ting terrible at...
The caveat is they are on the Sprint network which may not be as powerful for everyone where they live/work. But I do know it certainly has been a better network to us where we work and live than what AT&T was. And we can not beat the price.

We were on AT&T for about 8 years and paying $175 for 5 feature phones with limited talk/text that rolled over but because we rolled over so much in the beginning we didn't have any problems going over.

We moved to Ting with 5 smart phones and were only paying about $70 a month. The way we were able to stay at that price is because Ting doesn't charge you differently "just because" it is a smart phone. They only charge you if you use data and because you can turn data usage off at the network my kids have the benefit of smart phones without the cost of 5 data plans.

So if saving $100 a month for a network that has been better to us than AT&T, with smart phone capability vs feature phone capability and a much better customer support experience which also entails discounts any time there seems to be a mix up or you refer a friend...then yeah - I'd say they're terrible - NOT!
