I totally get the time waster thing. This board has been an addiction of mine for years. Mostly, I've enjoyed it, but there are definitely periods where I wish I'd spent my cougar board time doing something else.

This year, I made a couple changes. I took the link off of my cell phone, and set a couple goals to limit any posting to specific times. I've managed to keep my commitments, and as result, don't feel like I've wasted nearly as much time. I've been a lot more selective in which threads I read and how much of them I read. Time wasted responding to cyber idiots, who I don't even know and whose opinions I don't value, has dropped to zero. I have a small FO group whose takes I read consistently.

My recovery plan may be a little much – – but it's been good for me this year. There's some good stuff on Cougarboard. Hope you find your happy medium that will let you continue to enjoy it.
