Arrietta had a 1.90 ERA in July, and an amazing 0.43 in August. His away ERA is 1.76.

Kershaw had a best in baseball for a month 0.27 ERA in July and has a 1.40 ERA in August. Kershaw is also 1st in MLB in SO, 46 more than Arietta in one less start.

Greinke had a 0.95 ERA in July and has a 2.45 ERA in August. His away ERA is 1.81. Greinke is also blowing every other pitcher away in ERA and WAR. His ERA (1.61) is a full half point better than Arriettas.

Greinke also leads with a 92% quality start percentage, Kershaw and Arrietta are tied for second at 85%.

Kershaw, Greinke and Scherzer all have a better WHIP than Arrietta.

He is 4th in MLB in WAR behind Greinke, keuchel and Grey. Kershaw is fifth (5 pitchers have WARs above 6.0).

Arrietta is a not so impressive 18th in SO to Walk ratio, 4.32. Greinke is 9th 5.39 Kershaw is 2nd at 7.15, Scherzer is 1st 8.04.

Arrietta is very very good, and is probably 2nd in Cy Young position right now. But to say he is the best and there is no contest about it shows you are Cubs fan detached from reality.
