Comparing Utah to Georgia State or BYU to Indiana, Syracuse, Florida, and Uconn.

BYU has had a good run and is a good basketball team, but their best year since the Ainge era was equaled by Utah last year. BYU is 4-8 in the tourney in the last 10 years. Utah is 2-2 (of course if you count 2005, they are 4-3). BYU has a lot more appearances, but only had 1 sweet sixteen appearance and 1 round of 32. Utah had only a couple appearances and 1 sweet sixteen. Out of the two programs, BYU had the better decade, but also a lot of missed chances.

Right now is a great time to be a basketball fan in Utah. Both programs have got a lot of talent, great coaching, and have a lot of potential. BYU has a lot of talent coming in, Utah has a lot of talent and is going after a lot of talent (Funny how BYU's recruiting is set, whereas Utah doesn't even have a verbal for next year).
