I think you're right and I've always wondered why that bothers people so much.
I've always been a little guy. When I was a kid in elementary school, I was picked on a lot and got into a lot of fights defending myself. The result was that I was a much better fighter than a lot of the crybabies who were dumb enough to pick a fight with me.

When I was in 5th grade, I beat the crap out of one of the bigger kids in my class. We had just boarded a school bus at the end of a field trip. He tried to move me from my seat because he wanted to sit where I was. I refused to move, so he hit me. After his swing, I beat on him until the bus driver wrestled me off of him and threw me off the bus.

The kid was embarrassed.
I heard through the grapevine that he talked crapped about me a lot after that day. He sucker punched me to start the whole thing, but called me a cheap fighter or whatever and used that as an excuse for getting beaten up.

The next year, he picked another fight with me out on the playground. It seemed to come from no where. I guessed that he wanted a chance at redemption.

After a a punch or two from me, he ran into the school crying with a bloody face.

As the pathetic loser ran, I screamed at his back something like "Maybe it's time for you to pick on someone your own size."

He didn't pick on me again, but I'm sure it still bothered him that I bested him twice. I think he assumed that bigger means better. That's baffling to me. Sometimes the better fighter is the better fighter regardless of size.

Tejan Koroma may be a relatively little guy, but he has every right to power and strength that his larger opponents have.
