My family had come to meet me in Europe and we had traveled for a couple weeks before returning to the States. We were on different flights and one of their connecting flights got cancelled. So I got back to SLC a day before everyone else. I walked down the stairs at SLC and 3 high school friends were there to say hi. I was glad to see them but the fanfare was minimal, of course.
