Remember, the highest-ranked G5 champion automatically gets a G6 bowl shot. If USU goes 9-3 and loses to Utah, Washington, and BYU, but beats Boise (or even loses to Boise but Boise stumbles twice somewhere else) and then USU wins the championship game to go 10-3 they'll be ranked, and they'll probably be ranked ahead of anyone in the AAC (although I don't know much about that conference now). That means they're in, OOC terribleness notwithstanding.
