As a WR. He was way too skinny for TE pre-mission.

I'm sensing a theme here since you wanted to emphasize the "came to BYU during the Crowton Era" TE's. Two of them took it upon themselves to bulk up and become TE's after they realized they weren't going to break the rotation as WR's. Not sure how much any coaching staff would deserve credit for that.
