Surprises to me during the Utah/Michigan game
On the plus side for Utah:
-Ya, Britain Covey got more yards than I thought. Obviously he was gonna play, but I didn't think he would be the Utes leading receiver and he was solid
-Wilson didn't lose the game for them..........He was no bright spot either
-A lot of interceptions for Utah, although they were horrible throws, Utah's players were in the right place
-A win is a win and that's what you can hang your hat on

On the negative side for Utah:
-Just a big disappointment by Booker in the run game. He had some good catches out of the backfield, but running he was very ineffective.
-Andy Phillips had a bad night and that should worry some people. 2 missed FG's when last year he had 5 total
-The most shocking was.....NO SACKS! After listening to the Utah media and Utah fans before the game I would have thought it was a guarantee at least 5-7 sacks for 'em
-The best receiver coming into the game had 2 rec. for 15 yds. They need to get Scott the ball.
-It was a close game the entire night and Michigan left a lot of points on the board by some huge boneheaded mistakes. Depending on those to happen is unrealistic throughout the pac-12 even at "the level" they play at
-5/10 of their drives were 4 plays or less. 4 punts and a missed FG. The 3 and out drives went for -4, -1, and 6 yards. With Booker I didn't think they would have any negative drives
-I knew the media would focus on Michigan, but after listening to national shows this morning and reading articles about the game I'm a little surprised that there is very few giving much credit or praise to Utah. It's all about how Michigan's QB lost the game. I was listening to Eric Kuselias this morning and his summary of the game included comments like "Who are the utes?" "If Michigan had even a decent QB they would have won that game" No mention of anything good that Utah did. I thought there would be more.

Either way, I think we got a good look at who Michigan is and who Utah is. Unfortunately, Utah could have 2 games where they have video game stats in the next couple games and we wouldn't necessarily learn anything about them. Michigan has games against Oregon State and UNLV where I think we can learn a little more about them....maybe not so much when they play UNLV
