and BYU simply doesn't force turnovers especially against P5 type schools
BYU got 4 turnovers against Boise State in 2013, 3 against Utah in 2010, 4 against UCLA in 2008 and 4 at BC in 2006 but I can't think of another game against a current P5 opponent (or Notre Dame or Boise) where BYU got three turnovers in the past 10 years. BYU's defense is designed to bend and not break, hope that the opponent makes mistakes, but not to force mistakes or make big plays.
