Then why even give him that 1 carry at all during a point of the game where the
outcome was still very much in question if he has these supposed ball security issues?
It's just dumb. You give him 1 carry, he quadruples Carter's output and holds on to the ball. Then he sits for the rest of the game - even during mop-up time.
