i have a tough time believing any justification for having BSU ranked ahead of us. we're 3-2...they are 4-1. we won H2H. our SOS is miles tougher than their's yet we are penalized for it because all that matters are W's. it was this way with BCS system and that continues to be the case.

get through 1 tough game in OOC play, pile up cupcakes in MWC...avoid injury by playing below-averge teams...get to double-digit wins every year...enjoy a NY6 bowl...rinse/wash/repeat.

having said that i believe BYU's efforts to shed "G5" label and gain P5 status by 4 of 5 P5 conferences is very important. we need to be "all-in" on P5-ness and doing all we can to get there. i think playing as many of them as possible is best way to do it. it just stinks to watch us rack up the injuries and L's and not get any credit for the September we just tried to play.

PS after watching us the last 2 weeks i don't think we deserve to be ranked right now but not sure how so many automatically vault BSU into the rankings while forgetting to also give benefit of the doubt to the team that JUST BEAT THEM and played the toughest septemeber in college football.
