1. Utah looked better against Michigan. (You can argue homefield, first game of the year, etcetera. But ...as much as it kills me to say it...Utah is pretty dang good this year.)

2. Fans are fickle and manic-depressive. BYU has put those fans on a roller coaster. (Between miraculous wins, injuries, etc.) Of course when those fans are on the crest of big peaks, they feel like they are flying and in the troughs, the feel sick to their stomach.

3. Finally...most fans (myself included) put way too much stock in preseason/early season hype. I think if almost anyone hopped into the season right now, they would understand Nebraska is ok, Boise is a good not great win, michigan is a really good team, ucla is somewhere between good and great so a bearable loss. For me, jury's still out on mich. Def great, but unbeatable? We'll see if that team is now unbeatable.
