It takes a couple of minutes, but it isn't the end of the world. But these guys are talking about putting 2k rounds downrange in a weekend. Mathematically, you're talking 330+ reloads. Even at one minute per reload, you're talking 5 1/2 *hours* spent just reloading your weapon (and one minute per reload is pretty generous). I also know that after 10 or so reloads (usually just as I'm getting ready to pack it up for the day), your thumbs get sore and reloading starts to take even longer. I can't imagine how it would feel on your 300+ reload of the day.
My point was simply that the claim of putting 1k to 2k rounds downrange on an average weekend as a "recreation" shooter is completely off.
