I think you mean "gains". True on his big gains. He did take the first O play.
First play was a handoff to him and he also fumbled that drive. Brown ran second series capped by a Bernard TD run and then had the best runs most series after that until second half. Carter ran 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, etc. series but was completely ineffective on all runs in every series.
Bernard's 19yrd run was when BYU was up one TD at 20-13 and setup the next play TD pass to Matthews to go up 27-13.
Then Bernard took most of the next series that ended in a FG to not RUTS.
