So you can only complain or give a suggestion if you have financial interest in the particular aspect of the University? Thankfully you are not in charge of fund raising for Cougar Club. People will donate and donate more if they feel like they are part of the process and have a say........ if they feel invested in the process. Ideally yes it would be the other way and people donate first but come on people donate differently and also differently based on stage of life. Your motivations are much different than someone of not such advanced age. People go through different phases in life and view priorities differently. Some want to leave a legacy through donations which transpire to naming rights. Others are interested in 'elephant bumping' in exclusive circles. Many are simply grateful and generous. I prefer the grateful and generous over the name dropping elephant bumping.

But, hey that's just my opinion and it does not matter. I don't think less of someones opinion or value it less because of their lack of funding or recent giving. Sorry in my view that is petty and short sighted.
