My son had to work, and didn't want us to start watching the game until he got home - which would have been about half time. The only way we had to watch the game was ESPN3, which means if we weren't going to watch it live, we were going to have to wait until the game ended before starting it from the beginning because (as far as I know) live ESPN3 games aren't like a DVR where you can start it from the beginning.

Anyhow, I taped some post it notes on our TV so I could watch other games without seeing any scores on the bottom line. I covered my ears and closed my eyes whenever they went to studio for fear of hearing an update.

When it came time to go pick up my son, I had successfully avoided any mention of the score. I made sure the radio was off when I got in the car. When I picked my son up, he said that his idiot boss had told him Michigan was winning 14-0. Well great, now we both knew. He suggested we should just start it live when we got home since we already knew the score. So we got home and turned on the game. It was half time. We just watched the rest of the game rather quietly.
