Emigration Canyon which was being bid on. There were a few bidders, so they finally started bidding down the size of the parcel (they can't take more than the amount of outstanding taxes owing). They finally got it down to one foot in width going the depth of the parcel. Well, there were still interested bidders, so they started offering the 1' wide parcel in increasingly shallower depths until they got it down to a one square foot parcel. Amount in taxes owing was about $1000. So, somebody paid $1000 for a one sq ft parcel of ground in Emigration Canyon -- that works out to $43,560,000 per acre. Is there property anywhere in this world that has sold for $43.5M per acre?
