Two blatant examples:
1) Sneaky Pete leads USC to massive success. Reggie Bush years and all kinds of major wins. USC is a power house. Then, the NCAA gets wind of some things and starts a major investigation. Right before the hammer comes down on them, Sneaky Pete bails. In his ruin is Vacated wins, vacated championships, bribes, player payments, lost player trophies, lost scholarships. Just about every rule break you can think of was broken all on sneaky Pete's watch and probably his order. Dude should be indicted.

2) Seahawks defense has played (don't follow them close to know if they still do) with the "you can't call PI every time". While technically valid and perhaps even brilliant way to win, It's an approach that games the system and challenges the integrity of the game. They're right, they won't call it every time because that would ruin the game so they're calling the NFL's bluff but that's not how rules are supposed to work. it's not about getting away with things, it's about athleticism and strategy, not gaming the system. I wish they would call it every time but it speaks to the kind of coach at the helm: Win at any cost.
