I I was thinking how difficult it is to stay on top in sports for a College Program. I would say as well that BYU was one of the top 20 programs of the 1980's.

it made me wonder who the top 20 teams were of the decade and who is no longer on that list. the one that jumped to my mind was Penn State. Another Miami. I don't know who else maybe Texas? Anyway curious whoyou would list as a top 20 program that no longer is in the upper echelon of college football?

Cowherd was talking about this as far as all sports franchises and programs but I was just wondering about college football from what is the height of BYU success vs other top programs from that eighties decade
