The playoff committee is really the only arbiter that matters now in CFB. They will put 11-1 and 10-2 P5 teams in the playoffs ahead of an undefeated BYU every time. Yes, you'd be in a NY6 game, but even Bronco thinks BYU has to go undefeated two seasons in a row to break into the playoffs. An undefeated G5 gets more consideration for the playoffs than BYU would.
