I see that maybe you meant "should" as in "could" by stating it is his if healthy. If so, my bad. But "should" was tough to read after seeing you suggest the team is his and no controversy, etc.
Maybe all you were doing was throwing a bunch of shoulda coulda maybes around. Wasn't worded very well. It absolutely came off as suggesting Hill doesn't even have to compete but that it should all just be handed to him. But don't cry about my little quote. Just a tad extreme of a metaphor to make my point on the assumption of your point.
