most of my BYU-hating "Ute fan" friends didn't even go to college.

I'm a Ute. (Utah- undergrad/BYU grad school) Most of my U alum friends cheer for Utah, but also respect BYU as a great school, and a quality football team.

In 2013, I went to a party to watch the BYU/Utah game. It was interesting... (Most of us were graduates of the U, and also members of the church.) It was interesting... There were three people who clearly "hated" BYU. Not one of them graduated from the U. (Only one of them had graduated from college at all- USU.) The other two were people who have completely left the church, and their animosity towards BYU seemed to be motivated by that more than anything else. They just jumped on the Utah bandwagon.

As a Ute fan, (who also cheers for BYU), I get sick of the trolls who use my alma mater to mask the issues they have with the church.
