I'm mostly referring to how the markets are skewed for the HFT firms.
After reading Flash Boys, you see how the pros manipulate the little guys. Just like the OP was stating that the casual players are getting manipulated by the pros.
You can still make money, but you're not playing with an even deck like the pros have.
