I think some are guessing that ECU will be a slightly better version of UConn because they are both AAC. I disagree.
IMO, UConn was a bad team last week. The fact that they were ahead of us in the 2nd half 10-7 was so frustrating because UConn really was that bad. There were numerous plays where the UConn qb had forever to throw the ball and just didn't do it. They were incapable of completing a pass into tight coverage. Blame the qb, blame the receivers, and give some credit to our secondary-- (but come on, we have all seen our secondary give up completion after completion to good teams even where the coverage is decent). ECU is a completely different kettle of fish. They can complete passes even when the coverage is decent. If you give their qb's all kinds of time, they will complete a pass or run for significant yardage. Why do you think they are the best in the country on 3rd down conversions?
So, why am I posting this? Only because I foresee many negative posts in the future if BYU has a tough time with ECU. I am expecting BYU to have a tough time with ECU because ECU is a pretty darn good team. Just ask VaTech.
