You don't think if the scenario in the OP happened, fans wouldn't be calling for Bronco's head? Here's what many BYU fans would be saying:

1) Bronco should have done more to keep Taysom at BYU.
2) Taysom couldn't be successful at BYU because of the coaches/system.
3) Taysom suffered so many injuries at BYU due to the poor S&C Program.
4) Bronco doesn't know how to coach top talent.

If you don't think fans would be arguing the above about Bronco, you haven't followed BYU fans very closely.
