Howard Hesseman (Johnny Fever) did a few sitcoms throughout the 80s & early 90s.
His last gig I remember was as a school teacher. Two of his students were acted by the Givens chick who ended up marrying Mike Tyson & taking him for all he was worth--as well as the guy who played Ricky in the movie Better Off Dead. (I don't feel like googling it, I guess.)
