He is LDS, his older brother Junior played at El Camino JC for a year and then I believe he went on a mission, he is a poly and attends the Poly ward where Damien Mama attended, and he verballed to USC very early, I knew he was LDS but never thought we had a shot, figured we were going with the trend of 5* LDS kids that BYU doesn't even get a foot in the door with trend of the last few years, I coached 7 of the starters on his HS football team in Pop Warner and am pretty close to a couple of the assistant coaches at North, and this week is the North-West rivalry game and West has beaten them every year Mique has played varsity (he played on varsity as a freshman, he was 6-2 180 as a freshman), so I am fairly certain that has most of Juarez's attention so taking time out to decommit tells me things have changed quickly.
I am not sure how much of a shot BYU has, but if they are giving him the QB recruiting option, he has played mostly QB and LB (and just about every other position for North) throughout high school, so that might help, but I will have to do ask around and see if anybody knows what is going on now.
